Modellpularn Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 (edited) Many of us think the Batmobile is a cool car, right? Ever since the first TV series car appeared, people have liked it. Believe it or not, but there's a guy here in Stockholm, Sweden who's built a replica of the Batmobile from the 1989 Batman Returns movie. I stumbled upon it Friday night, as I was driving a customer to Hard Rock Café. Had to go back and snap some pics! Here's a link to some background about it. http://cars.99express.com/2009/10/swedish-batmobile.html The guy who built it was even trying out for Idol.... http://tv4play.se/noje_och_humor/idol?vide...artment=2.34558 Edited October 4, 2009 by Modellpularn
Bernard Kron Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 (edited) Beyond Ultra-Cool!!!! Your pictures really capture the vibe. It looks sooooo sinister under the low light in its flat black finish and gothic highlights, receding into the night-time urban landscape. This was always my favorite version. It summed up all the best of all the other versions. Edited October 4, 2009 by gbk1

It summed up all the best of all the other versions. Same here Bernard! It's my favorite of the "live action" Batmobiles and other than the ones from the early-mid 90's animated series, it's right at the top of all time favorites! Don't know if that's because it looks like some of the fastest LSR cars or what though
Jon Cole Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Nice pics! Looks sinister at night! These photos were on another automotive web site. The builder spent $1 million and 3 1/2 years building his Batmobile (can we say "Batmobile" here?)
Lownslow Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 The Tim Burton Batmobile was the best. thats the worst of the batmobiles that pos didnt even work
Joe Handley Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 kind of OT ,but does anyone remember Scale Auto Enthusiasts's build a Batmobile contest? back then a comic book company squashed the contest, or at least tried to and it was renamed the build a kit #6877 contest. some very unique Batmobile variants were the end result. it just made me think though that if a company would do the same if you were attempting to build a replica of a movie car today. oh, wait, didn't a Mr. Shelby try and do just that? Yup, it was the first SAE I bought.......wonder if I still have that somewhere
beefheart22 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 thats the worst of the batmobiles that pos didnt even work Even worse than the Joel Schumacher Batmobiles??? (Those ones weren't even cars and were towed by guide wires!)
FujimiLover Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Didn't Drew Carry had that on one of his episodes? I like the newest Batmobile, that thing is awesome!
