Hello, has anyone ever seen a 1/25 calculator? I looked at Scale Equipment LTD., Detail Master, etc but could not find one? I also checked my Fujimi accessory set but no luck there either.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Hey, Ben! Fellow San Antonio modeler here... :o

For 1:25 scale work, I just switched from using inches to using millimeters. Why? Because in scale, 1mm is basically equivalent to 1".

Or just use this: Scale Calculator

I may be wrong but I think Ben means a calculator in 1:25 scale.

If so it shouldn't be too difficult to knock one up from styrene sheet and some detail painting?

A 1/25 scale calculator would be about 1/4" tall!

You're going to need a very tiny brush and a good magnifier to detail paint it! If you know how to do it, you could go a google image search, take a photo of a calculator and reduce it down to 1/25 scale... then cut it out and attach it to a tiny piece of styrene painted black or gray.

Hey guy's, thanks for the suggestions! I'll try em out! I'm a detail nut and try to add certain detail if it exists on the real thing. I know it's gonna be tiny as I have a tiny little desk phone and things like that from a Fujimi kit. I'm not expecting to find something super detail, but raised buttons and the little display slot across the top would be neat to find. Even if the piece was meant to be something else.

I made some books to put in a hazmat truck and fire engine I built, I don't see why you couldn't do something similar for a calculator.

I took photos of the real book covers, then shrunk them to scale and printed them out. Then I glued them to a piece of styrene sheet cut to size to give them some thickness.

It seems the question here is the meaning of "Scale Calculator". One seems to say that he needs a calculator to calculated 1/25 scale demensions. The other seems to be talking about a calculator reduced down to fit in a 1/25 scale office. One of them misunderstands the other, perhaps on Purpose. I leave it to you to figure out.

LOL, OK i'll try to word it differently. I need a tiny piece of plastic or resin that replicates a tiny calculator. I could swear that I have seen one somewhere. I know it seems like a pointless detail but it's one of those things that will make people say "wow, he even put the calculator there!" LOL

The original question was.

So Jose thought it refered to calculating scale, while I thought it referred to a calculator in scale...Both of us were trying to help Ben.

Where does the deliberate misunderstanding come into this??
