General Lee

My only problem with the revell 69 Charger is the front bumper looks TOTALY wrong,it is way to big,I would use the revell 69,and cut the grill inserts from the grill and use the amt-mpc General Lee kit for that and the wheels,or use the custom wheels from the 69 AMT Buick Riviera, those are actualy the correct wheels for the General Lee

WOW I had no idea that kit had rims like that i never liked the 1969 Buick Riviera but now im going to buy it for the rims for my next General Lee.

or the ones from the 'Ecklers' corvette, but for those who do not have access to those rims, the kit sourced ones look pretty good if stripped and repainted in the proper colors .

I totally agree!

I did it and looks nice to me....

Hey, I'm new here! ;) I really enjoyed reading through this thread! I built a General Lee many years ago from the original MPC General Lee kit when it was first issue. I didn't paint it but later went back and painted the interior and some of the details. I always hated the flush rear window but at the time I was young and didn't attempt to change it.

I was glad to see that Round 2 was re-issuing it with the correct inset rear window and stock interior bucket. I'm considering building one but now think building a Revell General Lee will be better.

If anyone has pictures of the Revell 69 Charger built as the General Lee I would love to see them.

Does anyone know how to tell if the Revell 69 Charger R/T Pro Modeler is the Re-issue kit?

I found these 2 pictures, One has a white background behind 'Pro Modeler' and the other has a yellow background.

What are the main differences between the Pro Modeler 69 Charger R/T and the kit Revell now sells?

Any updates on this build?
