70mach1 Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Revell kit, wired and plumbed, scratch built traction bars and tail pipe extensions. Parts box wheels and tires. Refinished in PPG white and Plasticoat blue lacquers, DuPont urethane clear coat. This was the first time using the new improved BMF. This stuff works really well, conforms and polishes up beautifully.
Albert Moore Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Nice! The color combo looks terrific (and cleanly applied). The rim/tire combo give it a tough look as well. Cheers, Albert
outlaw035 Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 good look'n 57...traction bars are right on...neal
george 53 Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 REAL NICE lookin build there, 70. Pretty color combo too. not tryin ta be rude, but could you put your name in your sig, jus seems more freindlier than callin ya 70. Of course UNLESS your Mom an Dad DID name you 70.
voljeepx Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Like the color combo, and the ladder bars are a nice touch! Looks like she rolled out of the late '60's! Good job!
dimaxion Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Just stepped out of the '70's . Nice Chevy and typical in the day . I do like the bell mouth tailpipes . I had a pair of these under (sometimes in the trunk) my '65 Mustang Ragtop . They stopped exactly 1" past the centerline of the rear axle carrier . Ohio State requirment wwas 1/2" . Unfortunatly this was under the rear axle carrier . They were called dropped pipes for a good reason . BTW , they are hot after falling on the ground . Thanx..
Modellpularn Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Cool cruiser! I also like the traction bars, nice touch! Right out of the 70's. The good times, ahh nostalgia creeps up on me.....
