David@MinidreamsInc. Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 THIS BUILD IS WAY OUT OF MY RANGE BUT THE MY M.C.B.A. BROTHERS STARTED A VW BUILD AND I WANTED TO BUILD WITH THEM ! WHAT STARTED OUT AS A PARTS CAR ENDED UP TURNING IN TO A PRETTY FUN PROJECT ! ITS GOING TO BE A RAT ROD BOMBER STYLE BUILD ! NOT TO KIEN ON THE STYLE BUT I'LL TRY MY BEST TO MAKE IT LOOK GOOD ! STILL A LONG WAY TO GO !
Jantrix Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 WOW! I like this very much. The screen doors and top are inspired.
crazyjim Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Screen doors? How cool!! Love the roof panel and the seats are a terrific idea. What material did you use for all of it?
lordairgtar Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Wow, awesome. The seats look like the metal from a power supply box. I have some of that at work. Maybe I can "acquire" it.
David@MinidreamsInc. Posted November 1, 2009 Author Posted November 1, 2009 Screen doors? How cool!! Love the roof panel and the seats are a terrific idea. What material did you use for all of it? The screen is from a graese splatter screen for a fring pan ! they come diffenrt styles so look around till you find the style that looks best for your project ! The seat i have no clue what it is used for or where it came from ! It was in a box of parts i got from the net so i'm clueless to that sorry !
David@MinidreamsInc. Posted November 1, 2009 Author Posted November 1, 2009 My plans are to go with a camo green , red primer inside and on the wheels , paint the door's and the roof to look like a woven basket , then justt detail it up with what ever looks right with out being all gotty !
VW Dave Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I like it so far, and I'm looking forward to an update.

James Flowers Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Can you say waffle butt on those seats? Please don't slam the screen doors. Pretty cool build.
Oldboychas Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 What the.........? It's strange, and I realy like it ! Keep us posted on your progress. Charlie
David@MinidreamsInc. Posted November 4, 2009 Author Posted November 4, 2009 I still got alot of detailing to do and making this fit the part of rat rod bomber ! Any ideas or pointers , this real is a new area in modeling for me !
Lownslow Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 needs taller Stingers. you could go for some WWII military logos like crosses and such or go for a pinup decal
Tony T Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 (edited) My personal opinion - Ditch the front bumper, unless you are adding a rear bumper. If you want bumpers, go with nerf style, as the stock front is too wide. Add a pair of headlights, buckets style, on brackets, or mounts off the front suspension, or off the side of the front fender. Oh, and you'll need taillights and a licence plate. Hope this helps some! Edited November 4, 2009 by Tony T
Harry P. Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I like it! Love the colors you used, it all works great together. I agree about losing the front bumper. Nerf bars would work better... or nothing at all. And I agree with adding headlights (maybe you were planning to anyway). But all in all, very cool!
