Hey Harry, I will have to call my sister in PA and walk her through the foiling process, I gave her this Corvette for her birthday!! I built this thing about 6 years ago and never decided to foil those darn things....
Nick Winter Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 (edited) Well I forgot about this one, don't know if she's muscle-ey enough for you guys, after all it only has a 455 and 4spd. there's a few peices of decal that need fixed Edited December 17, 2009 by Dukefan69'
Cobrawannabe Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Well, I guess my first post will involve one of my favorites.... 66 Chevelle Wagon with the Dual Quad 454 from the Revell ProStreet Chevelle. It's still not 100% done, but I'm getting there Before Swap: http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c.../1205091112.jpg The stock 396 had already been lightly modified... http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c.../1205091113.jpg Mock-up: It fits! http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c.../1205091350.jpg All Done! (sorta....) http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...1205091528a.jpg Please excuse my lack of skills, this is only my 7th completion, and the car was originally my fifth before the swap.
Bruno Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Here's mine, a few old builds. Don B Hey Don, which kit did you use to build that Cuda? Looks awesome! I gotta build one for a friend that has a 1:1 exactly like this!
Bruno Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Muscle cars! My favorites! I got a few; 1970 Chevelle SS 1964 Hemi Belvedere 1968 Road Runner 383 (replica of the 1:1 I used to have) 1966 Chevelle wagon 1969 GT500 1970 Challenger R/T 1970 GTX 1972 Chevelle SS 1971 Duster 340 Maybe not a what you would consider a muscle car, but those have put many muscle cars to shame; 1985 Shelby Charger (2.2l turbocharged four banger)
CustomFerrari Posted December 19, 2009 Author Posted December 19, 2009 My mom drove it like it was a stolen 340 car. she also had a '71 duster modified stock car she drove, and she drove my grandpa's '70 D250 3/4ton, long bed truck with the 440 all the time, to haul her stock car. picked up a few new ones a few days ago a bel air a camaro z28 and a 57 tbird
Chris guthro Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Nick, that 6.6L is not a 455 but a 400
Nick Winter Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Nick, that 6.6L is not a 455 but a 400 well it was supposed to be a 455, guess i put the wrong decal, will have to go back and fix that.
Don B Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Hey Don, which kit did you use to build that Cuda? Looks awesome! I gotta build one for a friend that has a 1:1 exactly like this! Hey Bruno, I used the orignal Monogram 71 Cuda kit body. I filled in the front fender gills and used the 70 Challenger TA chassis and drivetrain. The hood and tailight panel were vacuumformed from a Co that can't remember the name of. The grill came with the conversion and was made of resin. I did this kit 12 or more years ago. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Don B
Chris guthro Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Im pretty sure bandits car didnt have the 455, im almost positive the decal and motor you have are correct.
Ron Hamilton Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 In looking at this thread, there are a lot of different interpretations of what a Muscle Car is. Here is what I consider MUSCLE!!!! These have been posted here before. 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS396 Convertible 1967 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible 1966 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Gran Coupe (383 4-Barrell/4-speed) 1967 Ford Fairlane GT Hardtop Part 1. I have some Full Size Muscle, which I will show at a later date.
Ron Hamilton Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 (edited) Part 2 1974 Plymouth Road Runner Coupe GTX 1967 Dodge Charger 1971 Dodge Charger R/T Hardtop 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T Hardtop 1964 Pontiac GTO Hardtop 1966 Pontiac GTO Hardtop 1968 Pontiac GTO Hardtop ( Yes it's an MPC kit) Edited December 24, 2009 by Ron Hamilton
beefheart22 Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Nick, that 6.6L is not a 455 but a 400 I thought the T/A's 6.6L was an Olds 403. Oh I know, 3 ci is splitting hairs, but it is what it is.
Bruno Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 (edited) Part 2 1974 Plymouth Road Runner Coupe GTX I really like that Road Runner, blue with white stripes and blue interior. Looks great! Edited December 25, 2009 by Bruno
Nick W. Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 The 6.6 is either the Olds 403 or the Pontiac 400 depending on which one you ordered!
CustomFerrari Posted June 20, 2010 Author Posted June 20, 2010 Long time no post's pretty much a dead thread for now just figured i'd say im about to restore a 1979 camaro model.
