Jon Cole Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 From the Dept of the Weird (actually, from jalopnik): Jo Jo Dancer, Your $2,500 Crystal-Covered Lambo Model Is Calling Hypothetical question: If you had 7,688 tiny Swarovski crystals, what would you do with them? You'd glue them to a cheap Murcielago model, you say? Oh! It's like we were separated at birth! The glitzy trinket you see before you is made by Californian model company Maisto. It's offically dubbed the "Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Made With Crystallized Swarovski Elements," and it wants to be your friend. There's only one catch: The model is only available in Europe. It's limited to 550 examples, it comes with its own box and commemorative mount, and it costs the equivalent of $2500. Somewhere, someone wants this, and they want it badly. Just for the record, we have no idea who they are.
LDO Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 In my mind is an image of Molly Sims, but I don't think I could post that image here.
Harry P. Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Whoever owns that car probably also owns this: Only $75,000...
JamesW Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Whoever owns that car probably also owns this: Only $75,000... Now THAT'S what I call a THRONE.
charlzrocks Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Zsa Zsa Gabor....then if the cop touched her car, she would have a reason to slap him, but he would have to catch her first! ....as for the toilet, that is just soooooo wrong!
B_rad88 Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 not to sound rude or anything, but thats old news, i have already seen stuff like that ever since the "Bling-Bling" fad in 04-05, and its gets worse, oh, i have seen harry already posted the toilet, so here is more......... a bling-bling hotwheels car here is a real 1/1 mercedes-benz blinged out! but out of all of that, i rather have this baby, it will blind anyone who looks at it! LOL
Lownslow Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 dammit i wanted to make one out of the slr kit but those cristals are pretty expensive
B_rad88 Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 well you can go cheap...... i found these on the net, and i also have seen them in dollar stores and stuff, they aren't that hard to find! and they can go on anything you want them on! this one is like $5+ or so for it and this one is like $20+ or so for it go check your local dollar stores or "cheap" stores for them! i am sure someone will have them, they are all over down here!
Jeff Sauber Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Covering a model with sparkly doo-dadds and other distractions would be a good way to hide a crappy paint job...

Lownslow Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Covering a model with sparkly doo-dadds and other distractions would be a good way to hide a crappy paint job... i know people who do this for fun and have made quite a coin before the manufacturers stepped in. theyre still making paper blinging other items
Abell82 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I would have bought one, but they put the jewels, on the mirrors, too. How am I supposed to see what's behind me?
Joe Handley Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 wow, I could by a Brushless E-Revo and have the money left over to make sure all my RC's worked, got a bunch of supplies to build models with, and probably could buy a new set of tires for my XJ for that too!
Dragline Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Classic case of creating a market where none existed, or needed to exist. People with money an no brains buy this stuff. I cannot wait till their will is read. Lawyer: "Bobby, you get the crystal covered model car" Bobby: "Groan" Bob F
Jon Cole Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 Maybe go for the "economical" version... cover your model with glue, roll it in shattered safety glass!
Joe Handley Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Maybe go for the "economical" version... cover your model with glue, roll it in shattered safety glass! Hahahaha, that's more along what I could afford!
