Nick Winter
I'd say Hunter... As far as using the "wrong year" Bronco on my build, you may have heard the old saying "Run what you brung?" The body was molded with the fender mud guards in place and the dual tire carrier. And it's just a hair bigger than 24th scale, IMHO. Nick, looks good. The graphics laid down really well. You might want to paint the inside of the body to match the interior on your next build. I think your skills are really coming along, dude! Thanks Chris and I noticed that after all of it was glued. Nick, is it too late to join this? nope, still don't have a deadline.

AceofBass
If it's still an option, I'd like to get in on this one. I just bought a VW microbus from my LHS literaly 5 minutes ago that I want to make into the Dharma Van from "Lost." Even though I stopped watching a couple of seasons ago, being that this is the last one it'd be a nice tribute. It just a cool van too. Should I post progress here or just the final product? AceofBass
Very good! Here is a pic of one of the vans in the show. I won't be weathering mine this way, because frankly, I don't have that skillset yet. Also, if it's allowed, this won't quite be a replica as the model I have is a different year and I don't have the resources to fully convert it. I will try and get as close as possible. Nick Winter
no problem, I'm actually really frustrated right now, I've got 2 movie/ TV builds on my bench, with 2 more planned but my camera is fried.
philo426
In honor of the "Christine " build something a little different;
AceofBass
Got the front "V" sanded off the Dub for the Dharma Van. This is gonna be a tough one. The model is a 50's body, the Dharma is a 70's and I've never modded before.
Nick Winter
very interesting Christine. Looks like your off to a good start with the V dub
AceofBass
I'll post pics later, but I also have some of the window frames cut out to make the 70's big windows. I will then fill them with action figure packaging plastic for windows. Should be ready for paint Monday-Tuesday.
Jared Roach
Hey Nick, I'm going to join in on this. The car I'm replicating is from a movie I saw a couple of years ago, called street kings. The car is a black 06 dodge charger srt8, with blacked out rims and tail lights. I couldn't deside what color to paint it so I desided to go this route. Here's the 1:1 car: I'm going to use lindenburgs charger super bee, same car, just with out the super bee colors. i'll be starting on this when I get some paint. So let me know if this I can enter. AceofBass
Progress Report: Filled VW logo and turn signal sockets on front, removed window frames to create long windows of 70's body style and sanded off the rear quarter vents. In removing the window frames, I also had to glue the two side doors together, creating one giant suicide door. It will probably not be accurate to the 1:1 but it's the only way. Painting will begin tonight or tomorrow with assembly to follow immediately after. Top half will be TS-7 Racing White to give it a dingy look, bottome half will be TS-? French Blue which is bit darker and more saturated than in the show, but it's k. It will also get a mud treatment from testors brown and sand beige. ale8oneboy
This thread inspired me to start a new blog about TV/Movie cars. I was wondering if someone could grant me permission to post a link to it. I would like to also do a article about this thread. I love this build off! Keep them coming. I currently don't have a TV/Movie car project to do. But I may pick-up something for myself to do soon. I hope I haven't crossed any lines by asking. I think this is an awesome community. Use the amt 75 duster(dart)for your interior,it has the same pattern, you MAY have to tweek it alittle to fit the 71 Chassis,But it will work,i'm working on a 72 Demon right know, and that's how i'm doing mine!.................Steve Ketterer
