THIS WHOLE SITUATION  IS REALLY SAD :P .

Over and over again this sort of bad-mouthin' each other over nothing, IS GETTING MORE COMMON HERE  .

WHAT'S WRONG WITH OUR WORLD WHEN WE CAN'T EVEN KEEP OUR OWN HOBBY SANE????

A SAD DAY FOR THE HOBBY ;);) .

Well said Dave, but I didn't start this verbal attack, "Mr. T" is the one with the rabies case.

I paint bodies when it's convenient for me to do so. Sometimes, it's first, sometimes it's in the middle. I've never done it to the end of the build, except for the Ranger I'm building now, but that's because I had to repaint it because some shmutz got on the paint.

You bring some good points up, Jeff, and I never thought of them before. Then again, it's so rare I actually get anything completely finished, that I guess it's an issue I've never needed to really address.

This also does bring up one other important thing: the importance of test-fitting.

Hi !,

My name is Donn..... And..... I'm a hacker ! :P

My bodies are always prepped and painted after the initial test fitting of the main components , long before the actual build takes place . I usually have 10 or 15 kits cut up and prepped at any given moment . It is not unusual for 10 or 12 freshly painted bodies to be sitting in the flashout cabinet , or for me to paint 4 or 5 kits in one spray session . I simply step into the spray booth , crank up the classic rock and go at it .

This way , I'm always out ahead of myself with a bunch of subjects to choose from depending on my mood or what is needed for the show classes. There is usually 5 or 6 builds going at once to avoid burnout and the boredom I seem to develop when working on one build over a long period of time .

Since Kathie and I built the new shop , multi - tasking is a pure joy . We have watched the baseball playoffs , the World Series , the hockey playoffs , The Stanley Cup , football , and the Super Bowl , while building models at the same time. It does'nt get much better than this ! B)

I have no issues with you, Dave. Also, I am on no one's bandwagon but my own around here. The two of you are having a heckuva peeing contest here. Too bad. There was no need for it. :P

Hey Andy - Think of it this way - While they're destroying their enjoyment of the hobby in their part of the world, we can sit back and watch, and enjoy the "CHEAP ENTERTAINMENT" , or just choose to go off and enjoy our toyzzz, and "IGNORE" the ridiculousness of it all - Kinda like the evening news :D .

I LOVE THIS HOBBY :D .

I love being retired too. Think I'll go work out at the gym...

It's just about ego. Some got'em others don't .It just that simple. Don't need em, there's ALWAYS someone better than you, somewhere. Just caz folks may pay someone, It don't make them better than ANYONE else. Folks should just get over themselves.:D

Wow, over 1500 views and over 70 responses, and this thread is only 3 days old!!.....I think your right Dave, this verbal sparring does seem to be providing some good entertainment...

See, people really do love to watch a little mayhem. The numbers don't lie. Some claim they hate drama, yet here they are, checking in every hour to see how the matchups are progressing and/or deteriorating.

"Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends...

We're so glad you could attend, come inside! come inside!

Be careful as you pass, move along! move along!" :D;)

This has been fun fellas, but I really need to get that little 48 lincoln wrapped up, considering I'm off for the next 2 days and will have some time at the bench...

G'day, folks....

You're the one who chose to keep it going, though. Dave chose to delete his initial post, and you could've been the bigger man and just let it die right there.

Sorry, but facts are facts ...

Thank you!! Someone was paying attention!

WOW! I see a lot of opinions but not very much advise. I would hope this site is based more on advise then opinions so I will offer some advise. I give this advise to my teenage daughters often. "Sometimes its best to understand that an individual isn't in a good place and its best to let them be". A little more advise.... Just because you think its right doesn't make it so... If you set an example sometimes its better then telling someone what to do.... Hugs not drugs.... The truth shall set you free plus tax....
