If you happen to find another one while you are there Sunday, please let me know, I would be more than willing to take it off your hands (PRE Ebay if possible) James I didn't find it but I know there is one in there. we didn't get to most of the boxes that had sealed models in it this trip, we just reworked the smaller scale, odd scale then went through and seperated the complete and missing parts models. WHen I find it I'll PM you.

Lyn Posted December 6, 2009 Author Posted December 6, 2009 I know I sold a Jo-han one on ebay, reason I remember that one is that was my first car, a station wagon, my dad was going to strip and paint black with tinted windows for me, engine died and at that point i was MORE then happy with the NEW Plymouth Sundance I was driving, totally wish I knew then what I know now, what a cool ride that would have been! I went off of subject sorry lol. not sure if there is another one or not. It probably will be another week or more before I go back to storage I took 90ish models home with me.
JamesW Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 I know I sold a Jo-han one on ebay, reason I remember that one is that was my first car, a station wagon, my dad was going to strip and paint black with tinted windows for me, engine died and at that point i was MORE then happy with the NEW Plymouth Sundance I was driving, totally wish I knew then what I know now, what a cool ride that would have been! I had a 1978 Ford Thunderbird back in 98, it was officially an antique. I had it only a few months. When winter hit I had no choice but to get rid of it, (no heat, no drivers side window). If I had known then what I know now, I would still have it, completely restored, in my garage. Wish I could find a kit of it.
disabled modeler Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 My first real car was a 1972 oldsmoblie toronado, it was a pretty nice car for $400.00............man did that thing run, i was always needing to put front tires on it though......wonder why? it would smoke the tires for a block maybe? thing had beautiful interior.....power everything! car got scraped after i went sideways down a riven at high speed.....yes i was dumb and young. the one i miss the most i had was a 1975 pace car trans am i got for $800.00 , we rebuilt the engine and beefed it up.....wow! it would eat up corvettes like they were nothing.....got busted by lady state trooper out of state, she had me clocked at 157mph in a 55 zone....take my advise! the fine is a very large one and they tend to frown on such actions on their highways in MO. i sold the car the next week.....mark
Custom Hearse Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 I got my first car when I was 14. It was a '68 Dodge Charger with a 440, given to me by a friend. The car was in mint condition except for the engine wiring... It had shorted out, so it wouldn't start. Fortunately my step dad helped me get it up and running. Then my mom sold it because I was too young to drive...
charlzrocks Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 I found a few, brought home 2 with me. orange something and cherry something, I'd get up and look but I haven't even got up for my beer yet. Great!! Thanks Lyn...Please let me know when you get ready to list them!!
Lyn Posted December 7, 2009 Author Posted December 7, 2009 we had all sorts of cars when I was growing up, it seemed just normal then to have 2 novas or 2 corvairs out back or in the garage at any given time. now that I look back I know why he usually had two, parts cars. I also now know why all the kids wanted to ride with us hahaha. I think my fav was the van though I might have a picture of it on here.
