The trailer is 100% scratch built from Styrene plastic..paint will be red..it has scale OAK deck planks to scale..which I make..will have polished aluminum wheels done in Alclad. Having a new "tool" in the arsenal helps tool..the MicroMark adjustable mini table saw...Here are some of the in progress photos...

Guy's...

Here are the last several days worth of progress....

Got one side done with the "D" rings, DOT stripping, lenses...Deck wood is in place..simulated rusted bolts...got the landing gear attached in place/working. Have to redo the rear mudflaps..found a newer way to make life simple...Also fabricated a spare tire carrier.

Here are the pictures......Thanks, Kurt

Kurt, in the pix of it hooked to a tractor, what material did you use for the deck plate on the frame. Looks very realistic.

Ray...

The frame/deck "grates" are from Jamie (Mo'Luminum) available at Sourkrauts site for sale. The ones you see are on Adam's R-Model Mack he built.

If you need one or two...I'll be glad to help..Let me know...Kurt

Absolutley supurb! Worthy of the beautiful display case in which it resides.

Have we seen pics of the tractor? It looks awsome also.

Nice work, and thank you for sharing.

Kurt,

I don't know how I missed that thread on your Mack rebuild, it is outstanding to say the least.

I would be interested to know where you find a CNC machine and the kit for making the photo-etched parts.

It would be great to be able to produce your own parts on a machine, as apposed to hand crafting each one, it always seems like the parts that are hardest to fabricate are the ones that you need 30 of, and of course they all have to be identical pieces.

Guy's

After looking at the trailer/truck combo on and off...something was definitely missing...(The Load) I think I have it "licked" now...Added the simulated steel pipe casing(s)..tie down chains..the binders..which actually work..and the beacon light...

Finally...it is FINISHED!! Time to move on...Thanks, Kurt
