that's 20+ year old Testors enamel "deep gold" and "silver metallic base" for kandy. The paint came out pretty smooth huh? :D

Thanks for all of the replies , even though I know the good ones were nothing but "fluff" HAHA! I had a good time reading and laughed quite a bit even while I was building this masterpiece!

I ruined a model, had more fun laughing while I did it than any other build, laughed a LOT while reading replies and it's the most freedom I have felt "online" when it concerns "reputations"...you know , don't say this, don't do that...what will they think? I don't care.....I had fun and that's what matters right? B) I knew I would get replies that were negative and I knew I would get some that were just plain FUNNY. So you asked "what's the point?"....... Try not to be so serious, have some fun with a model! I would like to thank my brother in law Bob Dudek for putting me up to this, you guys should see HIS '57!

Here is a video for your enjoyment.

Apparently I'm missing the joke here...

Ok I'm with Harry on this one. I REALLY didn't see the joke here. You PURPOSELY built a JUNK model? Just to build a JUNK model? Oh well, to each his own.:huh:

The point of this whole post is FUN. It was fun to build, fun to post and fun to read the confusion that ensued. It wasn't about building the model to accepted or implied standards, it was about the enjoyment of building for and seeing the reactions.

Bravo, Bob, bravo!

Reminds me of a Revell '57 I had built with this craft store glitter paint so many years ago. The flakes would have been half an inch across in real life but it sure sparkled...
