Eshaver Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 To show ya'all how ole I is , I remember seeing ads in Car Craft for those bubble taillights from Honest Charlie in Tennessee and J C witney for about 14.95 a pair ! Oh yes , I also used to have a Bel aire Ht for a short while . Ed Shaver
oldscool Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 (edited) What a beautiful paint job! Can't wait to see more. Hey Ed, i remember those ads too. Also remember the ads for lenses that had spades and clubs etc added to them. oldscool - nightstalker Edited December 19, 2009 by oldscool
horsepower Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 To duplicate those full lenses, use a red toothbrush, and before you glue it into the modified housing, back it with bare metal foil, & not to nit pick, but the '56 Chevys didn't have chrome on the drip rails, on the Bel-Airs, the piece just below the drip rails was a stainless part, but the Del Ray, didn't have any chrome other than the front & rear windows.

You are correct for a factory build. This one is a custom...and will have various changes..disk brakes, chrome, flake paint, and don't forget billet wheels .....Sorta like Burger King!! My Way!!!
