Casey Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 <b>What is this? "Merry Selfishness"? What I'm reading, essentially, is so much <i>"I like posting pics in my thread, so THAT'S OK; but I don't care about sig line pics or text, so too bad for you!"</i> Or, vice versa. What a pathetic selfish attitude! <img src="http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/angry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="angry.gif" /> Sorry, but the world doesn't revolve around any one person here. I would think the right and decent thing to do, is to think of what's BEST FOR ALL.</b> Consider your post on page one, in particular, the last sentence: "Yesterday I tried to make a small change to my sig line, and I had the same results. I ended up having to settle for just plain text Merry Christmas to us, eh? An explanation from the powers that be would be nice." You come to a forum for which you pay nothing, get to discuss a hobby of yours with fellow model builders, get to make connections and friends, then complain because Gregg didn't expalain the changes to you? Isn't that the definition of "selfish"? As stated above, having the ability to block signatures is a very useful feature on forums, and having them limited to maximum numbber of characters and/or pic size is again a good thing. If your sig line and the info it contains is so important that you're up in arms when things are temporarily off kilter, you may want to take a step back and consider just how good we've got it here. I can think of no other explanation for all of the complaining.
Abell82 Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I'm all for limiting the size of the signature! I really hate when people have 2 paragraphs of words and ten pictures in their signatures. It's just plain over indulgence. Just my .02$
weasel Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 waaaa waaa waaa...give it some time, if, in 6 months it's still weird, then, yeah, bitch, but, come on, give the MAN a break!!
