These are the instructions from a S&S Specialies seat belt PE set and should help. I usually fold over a small section of belt through the buckle loop and glue to itself. I use CA to glue belt, but there are many types of glue that could be used. I'd be interested in hearing what others use for glue.

Hey Jim,

when I saw your second sentence on the post line,(how do you do them?) I could not help but hear the stewardess say, "place the small flat metal end into the square metal end until it clicks. Lift up on the shiny metal top to realease!!!)

Thanks David (and Jim for posting the question).

Referring to the pic, does the strap coming down from the top (on the competition belts) fold back up to the top, get glued down where it is, or other?

I use the CA glue too. I have been using the Gorilla (just place a dab on palette and then use a toothpick). I like it because of the no clog cap. I found some black 1/8 ribbon (double face satin) for a buck at my local hobby store in the flowers department. The CA glue sets pretty much instantly when in come in to contact with the ribbon and plastic.

Here's a pic of one I just finished, but I will have to correct the buckles next time. Thanks again for this tip.

you need a short piece to 'adjust' the shoulder belts...put the short piece under the buckle so the driver can cinch the belts tight...

and, if ya use a white glue, that gives you a lot of time to get it 'right' befote it dries, and, it dries clear!!

I always felt that ribbon looks too "grainy" for 1/25 scale, but that's just me. I prefer masking tape (old fashioned tan stuff). Stick a piece down to your cutting mat, use a metal rule and a #11 blade to trim to width. Make sure it fits through the slot on a photo-etched buckle.

Just paint to match. I bet you could even use a Sharpie instead of paint. Then a drop of super glue to attach.

That's what I do.Tamiya tape and a sharpie.
