Brizio Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 A member of the model club I belong, gave to me this truck. He said that was a kit that he bought when he was working at Freightliner. Which truck is and where I can find info about it? He told me the model, but I forgot...
chuckyr Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 forgot the picture... Looks like an Athearn model to me.
Ben Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Looks like an Athearn model to me. That is a "first issue" era Athearn Freightliner. They could be bought as a kit or already assembled. You could buy them in many different liveries as a tractor with a trailer or two identical tractors in one box. The cabs were the same but one had a single axle chassis and the other was a dual drive like the one you have. Athearn recently upgraded these Freightliners to where they now have full interiors, chrome parts, better wheels, factory paint schemes and I think rubber tires. I believe the model designation of the real truck would be a late 60's, early 70's FLA.
Brizio Posted January 15, 2010 Author Posted January 15, 2010 Thanks for all the info! Where I can find some parts for it? to add and detail it?
