charlie8575 Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 (edited) I have an idea for a project in mind; does anyone make a 1959 Ranchero in resin? I vaguely remember a promo or kit from when they were new, but I'm not in the mood to completely evacuate my life savings. Not that I have much to evacuate, but you get the idea... lizardlust Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 I know that PMC originally made a promotional-style model "in the day" - seems to me it was also available as a cellophane bagged unassembled kit as well. I wish you good luck in finding one of those umwarped and at a reasonable price!! I think that Tom Coolidge offered a resin version through his Promolite company at one point. It does not currently appear in his listing, however. http://public.fotki.com/tomcoolidge/promolite-product-list/
george 53 Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Charlie, you MIGHT wanna check Steve Kohler overt Star Models. He MIGHT carry one by R&R Resins. Ray pops ALOT of oddbal kits and Steve JUST might have one. It's worth a shot!
sfhess Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 My uncle used to have a 59 Ranchero promo on his workbench to hold straight pins for his hobby, building large-scale model airplanes. I also remember seeing soft-plastic 59 Rancheros back in the early 60's that looked pretty nice. Same company made 59 FOrd convertibles and 61 or 62 Cadillacs.
