surfjunke Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Awesome build! Beautiful work, as usual! Love it!
Cubeman Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 (edited) Another proof of your outstanding modeling skills, John. Are the rear tires the ones, that come with the kit? They look awesome! No noticeable seam. Edited August 18, 2013 by Cubeman
Burnout Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Another stunning build John! I'm glad to see you back to building vintage drag racers. Keep 'em coming!
gasser59 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Holy cr*p John. I know this is an old thread but I've not seen this Beebe and Mulligan build of yours and it is flat out stunning. Did you ever get those reference sheets to Mooneyz? I have this kit too and would love to get my hands on those reference pics but on second thought, I could just use the posted pics of your build. Spectacular work my friend.
Army Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 On the rear, The Greek FLEET... at the time, it was a prestigous group to be included in. Chris "The Golden Greek" Karamesines was Capt., and the list of Top Fuel Guys that belonged, and Funny Car Pilots has long ago vanished. Jim Nicoll was in it, Mulligan of course, and many others. Maybe somebody out there knows, or next time I see the Greek,, I'll chat with him about who was in it.
dragcarz Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Very nice John, thanks for sharing your work.
gasser59 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 John, another one of your beautiful builds. love it!!! Would love to build this in 1/25. Charlie Pro Tech Me too Charlie. I may just have to look into this seriously.

Some of the names I have seen are John Wiebe, Steve Carbone, Jim Nicoll, Kalitta, Muldowney, Shumacher, Prudhome, McEwen and Marvin Shwartz to name a few. I should build me a Zoo Keeper car soon.
2lapsdown Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 If not for the panel thickness this could have easily passed for the real car. Truly outstanding work John
