I am just in awe at some of the detail I see on this forum. I've noticed on some of the builds that valve stems were added to the rims. Are they home made details or available aftermarket ?

The set I used on my "Christine" model are offered by Pro-Tech and are quite nice. They are turned aluminum pieces and are nicley scaled to size.

Check 'em out on the "pro tech site".

Heated and stretched sprue makes good valve stems too. Since a real street car valve stem is wider at the base, you can cut a piece of the sprue right in the taper. Use black sprue and you don't even need to paint 'em.
