BigBeze Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Im doing a 63 vert Nova SS for a friends Father who actually owns a real one and he says his dad will notice there are no snaps around the crome trim on the top boot . If you have any ideas I sure could use them by the 29. Thats his B Day. So if you can help thanks!
dwc43 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Why not try these and glue them around the edges. http://modelcargarage.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=0&idproduct=411
BigBeze Posted January 19, 2010 Author Posted January 19, 2010 Hey thanks for the idea i dont know if it would make it here in time but I'll have to keep that in mind.
purplehornies Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 You could get a piece of brass or aluminum tubing close to the required size. Sharpen it to resemble a hole punch and cut them from Bare Metal Foil. leave the backing on them and white glue them in place.
dwc43 Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Hey thanks for the idea i dont know if it would make it here in time but I'll have to keep that in mind. Welcome, anytime. I usually get mine in about a week I think, but I have not bought anything from them in a couple months. Purple has a pretty good idea there too.
fatkidd Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 would the head of a straight pin be the correct diameter? cut the head off of the pin, file the back flat and glue in place. just a thought off the top of my head

Jon Cole Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Curt Raitz showed these rivets from the aftermarket...
BigBeze Posted January 24, 2010 Author Posted January 24, 2010 Thanks for the great ideas. havnt found out what Im going to do yet but thanks.
LDO Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 How about simulated rivets? They are made as small as .020", maybe smaller. Or a small punch and die set.
