2002p51 Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Been working on this most of the weekend. It started with a Tommy Ivo kit frame. I stretched the wheelbase to 204". The engine is from a Revell funny car kit with JoHan valve covers. As usual questions, comments, and criticisms are welcome.
Tedly Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Wow!! That is going to be a gorgeous piece when finished! Is it going to be a "generic" or a replica of someones car?

Modelmartin Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 It is such a pleasure to see someone who knows their stuff building a model. I like it.
Junkman Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Can't wait to hear this being fired up for the first time. What did you say? It's a model?
dwc43 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 I'm working on one of those myself. 392 supercharged Hemi though. Real Old school with white wall recapped truck slicks. Should turn out as nice as yours.
Fuel Coupe Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Great subject, I agree with Dave on the braided hose, no comparison.
MADmodelDOCTOR Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Looking great! Very clean build. Keep it up. I agree with the guys on the Pro-Tech line, but you can't beat the Detail Master fittigs. Though, RB Motion has some nice ones. later,
2002p51 Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 you really need to ditch that Detail Master braided line and go with Pro Tech's. there is no comparison, Pro Tech's puts Detail Masters stuff to shame. Dave Well, I had this stuff laying around already, so . . . . I just looked at their web site and maybe I'll try some on the next project. Thanks for the tip.
Raul_Perez Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 It looks like you're off to a GREAT start!! Later,
