  1. They look great to me, you're too hard on yourself, well I guess we all are because we know where our mistakes are! Nothing ever comes out perfect for me either, the important part is we are enjoying our hobby.
  2. Looks very period correct. I'm pretty sure those up tops are being discontinued if they haven't been already. So any body that wants one should contact Ed Fluck at Drag city resin ASAP.
  3. Slixx makes them, sorry if I stepped on the OP's toes, just trying to help.
  4. Don't worry about it, not that important just one of many ideas in my head to build a drag car out of. Thanks anyway though.
  5. OK. Since I'm the one who posted looking for a link, here's the deal. I had a guy tell me just last week that a guy going by the name of RESINBLOB sells on Ebay, and used to make a body, that I'd be interested in, so in doing a search for RESINBLOB on Ebay I couldn't find him so I did a Google search and it lead me to this thread, I wasn't really concerned with how old the post was, just a shot in the dark to find that Ebay seller. I didn't even see any of these replies until George told me about it. So now that I started an argument lets just let it rest.
  6. Would you have a link to his page? I tried an ebay search and can not find him. Thanks
  7. Very nice job. Where in Thailand are you? I am in Chiang Mai and find it hard to find model stuff locally, it doesn't seem to be a popular hobby here. I know of one hobby shop that I buy paint and glue and tape, etc. but no kits that interest me. Good thing I shipped my stash over.
  8. OK, thanks, I remember the technique in full size car painting with a siphon spray gun, but wasn't sure if it would work with an airbrush. I'll have to give it a try.
  9. Beautiful job! If I might ask, how did you do the cob webbing in scale?
  10. All I can say is "WOW" I sure learned a lot and got a lot of ideas from this thread. Thanks a bunch for the ideas and lessons.
  11. Very nice job with a very difficult kit. I've got one semi started that I glued the doors shut and glued the front fenders on too, someday I'll get back on it and finish it.
  12. Same here, I started trying to do small parts and learned a lot, got some usable parts and some trash, then I got adventurous/curios to see if I could do a body. It gave me new respect for those who do it and again, I learned some things and got a few rough but usable bodies. Overall a very good experience and I'm glad I tried even if they didn't turn out perfect. I most likely won't try anymore bodies (but you never know), as most bodies I have 1 would be enough, or maybe 2 would be better so I'm not sure it's worth the investment in silicone since it takes a lot to make a body mold and if you mess up, you wasted the money and you'd have to start all over.
  13. Looking great! I love Vega drag cars, I have a few very rough resin casting 77 Vegas from when I was attempting to do some casting, so I'll eventually be building a few myself.
  14. Awesome job! I love it, is that the Jo-Han chassis?
  15. I do the same thing, some of my friends can't believe I would sell them, but like you said there is only so much room. I get my enjoyment from building them, and keep pictures of the ones I sold.
  16. Thanks, That's a big help!
  17. WOW I love this!! I have been planing to do the same thing but haven't started yet, just gathered up parts so far. I'd like to know what body modifications you made but I'm sure if you are like me and it was a long time ago you probably don't remember, I don't even remember what happened a month ago.
  18. Nice! Great job on fixing the rear wheel openings! I never knew Slixx had that sheet, and I often look close at their quarter panel sheets as I have found some treasures in them before.
  19. The fade paint job really looks good! And the 5 spoke Americans wheels on the front are nice! Are they Speed City resins or a kit wheel? Factory chrome or Alclad?
  20. Tedly

Looks good! I like the color
