  1. NICE!.......Where did the decals come from?
  2. looking good! Where did the extra wide slicks come from? or did you graft two sets together?
  3. Should be a neat piece! I like it so far, dare to be diferent
  4. I agree with eveyone else. You are way too hard on yourself. It looks great, you really only need to satisfy yourself anyway. I always try to make each build better than the last but sometimes they get worse, but I just keep trying.
  5. Not a lot of detail in the casting but it looks to me like an FE series ford 390-428 Hope that helps. Ted
  6. Actually I think they do call Topeka the Summernationals these days, it used to be that Englishtown was the Summer nationals but I think they renamed them now. If ya ask me I think they messed it all up when they started naming races (and race cars) after sponsors! Bring back the Good ole days!! I don't know what race you were at but the Summer Nationals are at Englishtown. Sorry, they sold you the wrong tickets. Mike
  7. Lookin real good. I like the theme of this one.
  8. Glad to hear that you are doing better. Hope you recover soon.
  9. Yea Smokey, I found a set in my stash. From the old AMT 32 Vicky. They are yours if you want them.
  10. I'll be there for sure. Bringing about 5 or 6 models and probably coming home with a lot of treasures.
  11. looking great Jeff. Love the cage and interior detailing.
  12. If you have a "Hobbytown" nearby they usually have it. That is where I usually get it.

    Pic test

Looks like you figured it out. I knew you were smart enough! Now make some headers and finish that thing.
  14. In my rear engined bracket dragster best was 7.78 @ 172. On the street only about 110 in my 73 vette when I was young and stupid.
  15. Yea, I kinda thought that too!
  16. Wow!! That is going to be a gorgeous piece when finished! Is it going to be a "generic" or a replica of someones car?
  17. fantastic! I love it!
  18. I recently was playing with this idea and can't decide if it "works". Looking for opinions before I waste too much time on it. It is an 86 monte carlo SS with a 66 nova roof.
  19. Wow, that is gonna be a sweet bug. Can't wait to see it finished. Nice job
  20. Got an E-mail back from SLIXX they said that the Nanook is an old sheet and it could have been a problem with the ink. They are sending me a new set along with some liquid decal film to try. They do have excellent customer service. The last time I had a bad sheet with the Dyno Don set they sent me 2 new ones.
  21. Just had some more decals fall apart on the Nanook fuel altered even after re-coating with testors decal maker spray. I just e-mailed SLIXX to see what's up. I have used older ones without a problem. I asked them if they changed anything in the manufacturing proccess. I'll have to see what they can tell me.
  22. Fantastic looking paint job and beautiful detail on the motor. You da man!
  23. It was the one for the mustang 2 pro stock Part # DDPS3-7030
  24. Is anyone else having any trouble with slixx decals breaking apart? I had a Dyno Don set a while back and they said they were having problems with that set and sent me two new sheets and the same thing happend. Then I used another set for the Brutus funny car.....same thing. Now I started a set for the Nanook fuel altered and the same thing is happening. I started spraying testors decal making spray over them and that helps some but I still have to be VERY careful or they still break apart. I know slixx is about the best there is and just wondering if any one else is having the same problem. I have used them a few years ago with great results. I don't think it could be anything I am doing wrong. I just dip them in water for a second and then set them on a paper towel until they slide off.
  25. That looks like a pretty nice kit, I'll have to look into that. I have been trying to find an old kit with no luck. Does it come with windows or must you make your own?
