Dandyfunk Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Hello all, I am new here. I thought I would show some pics of my current build. I am going for a resto-mod type deal. Car is just mocked up for the pics. Enjoy. DF Let me know what you all think!!
Blake Rogers Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 THAT IS A SWEET RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!! and my fav color to!! what brand name of paint is it? cant wait to see more !!!
Dandyfunk Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 Thanks Blake, The color is Tamiya's TS Lime Green over Tamiya's grey primer. I originally used Model masters Mopar green but screwed it up. Since I had to re-do the paint I made the change. I thought the Testors paint was too dark. What do you think of the shaved window trim? DF

Casey Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 It's definitely very green so far, but it's looking good. Which kit supplied those Keystone wheels, and which tires are you using with them?
crazyjim Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. Had a chance to rent a new Challenger over the weekend in Chicago. There was a chance for snow so I decided to rent a front wheel drive Dodge Journey instead.
Dandyfunk Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 (edited) The wheels and tires are after market by MRC. Keystones on Mickey Tompson Indy Profiles. The disc brakes are by model masters. Edited January 25, 2010 by Dandyfunk
Blake Rogers Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Yep bumbers are staying black. coool i would have painted them green to lol
Dandyfunk Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 coool i would have painted them green to lol That was my original plan, but I forgot to stip the chrome and put them on b4 I painted. Then I ran out of paint!!!!!!

Dandyfunk Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 Nah...picking new project getting board with this one. I got some under the hood stuff to do, buff out the clear coat then on to the next one. I am debating between the 55 Pro Sportsman or stealing the blown 427 from Revell's 68 Corvette and stuffing it into the Revell's re-done 69 Nova SS. DF
RodneyBad Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Very Cool looking Challenger Love the color and the wheels and tires look great on it..
Phatsamurai Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I would stuff that blown Big block into the nova, make a bracket racer out of it.
