karbuildr Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 I built this from the AMT kit, one of my favorite kits. I think I've built 5 or 6 of these over the years. It's painted with House of Kolor paints; the base color is Euro Red, and I masked off and fogged the side stripe with Silverwhite Pearl, Tru Blue Pearl and Violette Pearl, front to rear, then 3 coats of Shimrins clear and polished out. The wheels came from a Revell tuner kit and the tires are from Pegasus. Air cleaner removed to show the engine.
torinobradley Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Good lookin car you got there! Those wheels look right!
Guest Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Beautiful. I see 2 members that need to add their names to their sigs.
RodneyBad Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Awesome looking Mopar. Love the color and the stripe.. And wheels. Very modern Old school.. Great work.. I love it..
kyledr330 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Very cool!, Love everything about this Mopar
whale392 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Very nice Roach!! I have a soft spot for Mopar B-Bodies, and this one hits that spot dead-on!
Matt P Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Nice combo of new and old and I like the horn! Wheels, stance, and paint really go well together.
karbuildr Posted January 30, 2010 Author Posted January 30, 2010 Thanks everyone, for the nice words. I've always been a Chevy guy but I have a soft spot for these B-bodies as well.
diymirage Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Nice job, man! Very clean! Now, how 'bout adding your name to your sig (as per forum rules) so we know who we're talking' to? unless your name in fact is homer simpson David is a lot closer to being in compliance with the rule by having his name on the left hand side with the rest of his vitals then, well, you as for the RR, its a very nice looking car i like the intake, it looks familiar but i cant place it (almost looks like a 302 crossbarrel)
Crusader101 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Nice clean build David!....by the way, I also can read your name, loud and clear!
Modlbldr Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Beautiful job on your RoadRunner. Thanks. Later-
karbuildr Posted January 31, 2010 Author Posted January 31, 2010 unless your name in fact is homer simpson David is a lot closer to being in compliance with the rule by having his name on the left hand side with the rest of his vitals then, well, you as for the RR, its a very nice looking car i like the intake, it looks familiar but i cant place it (almost looks like a 302 crossbarrel) Diymirage, I found that intake manifold and carbs in my Mopar engine parts bin, but I honestly don't know what kit it came from. And again, thanks everyone for the compliments.
Peter Lombardo Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Great job on her. This is also one of my favorite kits and cars. I think the 68, 69 and 70 Plymouth B bodies are some of the prettiest muscle cars of that era. You did a great job on this. I like the tri-color stripe.....very nice.
FORDSVTPARTS Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Now, how 'bout adding your name to your sig (as per forum rules) so we know who we're talking' to? Where's yours?
