Carson Top

I found this old photo showing a Carson Top on a '61 Chevy. Judging by the pic, it is either a new Chevy, or close to it.

Why would someone do that? I thought Carson Tops were only on scale '49 Mercs

Those gnomes are super-cool! The top, not so much. Talk about bulky-looking tops, here's the poster child. Maybe someone thought a '58 T-bird style roof would mate well with a '60 Chevy? Squared and rounded do not mix well, kiddies.
