mackinac359 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Back in early 2006 I built this diorama. I didn't really like how it looked, so a while late I redid it. I still didn't like it as it just wasn't big enough(I was always breaking off an exhaust when removing a model after photographing it). It also just didn't look proportional. So I decided to redo it yet again. I bought $20 worth of foam core board and went to town. Note: Above, I fixed the corner seam that drove me nuts Here's the inspiration I have plenty of detail yet to add. This one is larger, more cumbersome to move, but it allows for more camera angles and better lighting. More pics onMy Workbench page. Thanks for looking! Tim
Jim B Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Looks pretty good, Tim. Nice attention to detail on the diorama.
studioman3 Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Your stuff just amazes me Tim, What a great way to show off your work. Are you going to leave the top open, or do a ceiling and lights? Either way, very nice! Tim
Kostas Parchas Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Hey Tim, Your PQI is much better than the real one, but I am sure that your trucks are not need this department!!! LOL ! Kostas.
weasel Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 hey Tim, ya know, when i/we can't tell if it's real or a pic, it makes it tough...like the trailer pic in MCM, is that the kit or the 1:1??? anyway, fantastic work!!
mackinac359 Posted February 1, 2010 Author Posted February 1, 2010 Dick The photo in Truckers Corner was the model. The lighting, backdrop, camera angle all came together for a nice photo. Tim
macs_rock Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 I was about to say no cheating by putting real pics in, then I realized that the bottom on WAS a real pic. Amazing!
disabled modeler Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Hi Tim....It looks great! Very sharp!
