I have read several posts on (I can't remember which) modelling websites regarding the useof Apple Barrell acrylics. I'm looking to broaden the selection of colors I have for a '37 Ford interior. I tried some blue Apple Barrell acrylic. The coverage doesen't seem to match up to a Tamaya. Any comments?

I found that when painting with them I primer the parts first with Duplicolor primer. Unprimered plastic is much harder to paint. I do the same when I paint with Tamiya paints.

I use Krylon white primer on everything I paint. Maybe gray primer would be better under darker Apple Barrel acrylics. It seems that I need to coat at least 3 times to get the depth of color needed with Apple Barrell.
