crazyjim Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Why not make your own from aluminum tubing and save a bundle of money?
Jon Cole Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Replicas & Miniatures Co. of Maryland makes the best resin distributors out there! Factory stock style, caps cast in four different colors, and all pre-drilled. They also sell vacuum advance units and coils. I think there is three distributor sets per pack.
MikeMc Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 R & M for unwired MAD for wired ones Both are top shelf!!!
Eric Stone Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Why not make your own from aluminum tubing and save a bundle of money? ...Because the aluminum tubing ones don't look like distributors, they look like a bundle of wires coming out of a tube. (IMHO)
crazyjim Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Well that's only because it is a bunch of wires coming out of a tube. But they don't cost $5 each either.
Railfreak78 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I go to Hobby Lobby and get very thin wire where they have fake flowers and hot glue guns. Its in different sizes and it comes only in green. I hallow out the distributer and run the wires in it like a tube idea. You get a ton of wire for $3 a bag and I use it for a lot of detail. Check out my Super Bee under glass.

crazyjim Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I've done that too! Never bought an aftermarket distributor.
MikeMc Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 (edited) I will spend the $5.00 for one of Kris Morgans Masterpieces........ I have drilled, used tubing, detailmaster kit, sprues.........always back to MAD Edited February 9, 2010 by MikeMc
