bsoder Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 (edited) No not the new kinda "green" felt like building a hot rod! although this isn't even close to what I was going to do originally..this is the Revell " street rod kit and it has no real options short of surgery!! so I changed directions and ended up here. I wanted to use these wheels so I adapted them, but the unique thing about this '32 is it's powered by a Ford E475 (410ci) out of an Edsel stock these made 345hp and 475lbs.ft so mine being pumped up a little makes about 375 had to make some mods to fit the motor with the headers and fab up an xhaust. I was unhappy with the one piece interior tub so I did what I could with it, some flock, gauge panel hi tech shifter I'm pretty happy with it anyway! Edited February 19, 2010 by bsoder
Harry P. Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Very cool! I like the color combo, different but very nice. A good looking hot rod any way you slice it. Nice headlights, BTW...
nails3825 Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Sweet ride! The colors compliment each other, it's just a cool looking car.

crazyjim Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Very good looking hot rod. The babe ain't bad either.
Railfreak78 Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 I like the dare to be different mix with motor and 2 tone green. I can picture it at the Seattle Roadster show or The World of Wheels shows. Nice work
dimaxion Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 The E400 is in the AMT Edsel kit . It is the new (at the time) FE Engine . The E 475 was a big block Lincoln maxed out . The Lincoln had less power and torque . It was an existing design of the first design OHV Lincolns . The next year , the E475 was gone but available in the Thunderbirds . Tuned down also . This Rod is very cool depicting this appropiate power plant . The Ford guys always claimed the E 400 was an regular 332 or 352 . Allot like the Chevy guys claimed the 327 was a 283 . I do like this very cool rod . Thanx..
Kris Morgan Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Very sharp build. Love the Edsel power plant. It really sets it apart from most other rods and, the colors are great.
vizio93 Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Wow that looks awesome !!! You might need to turn up the heat a little though, it looks cold beside that car I like the green too
Rick Schmidt Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Very nice little rod. Everything works well on it. I'm also glad to see I'm not the only one who has seen the potenial of this "Simple" little kit. Was told when I found mine it was by far inferior to the newer Revell one that is in the series of 32s we have now. I disagree and this build backs my decision 100 %
