modelercarl Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Any tips on using MCW paint? I just ordered some for a couple of future projects. I have been using this paint for painting bodies of trucks and cars for over a year now.... excellent paint for airbrushing, covers very nice and you can put a couple of coats on at a time, very difficult to create "runs" and dries quickly. Let it cure for about 16-18 hours and you can use just about any method for finishing... sanding if that is your preference, rubbing compound and polishing is another. Good hard paint for polishing. Excellent service, great true to life colors.. get the MCW color catalog, you can't go wrong for $14.00. I was told by other users at the Toledo show last October that this paint has a very long shelf life, 8-10 years.

Modelmartin Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 I have had real good luck with it and can recommend it. Easy to use, too.
mikemodeler Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 I spoke with Dave this weekend at a show in Salisbury, NC. He mentioned that he was changing the size of the bottles he sells the paint in and has some new resin bodies/kits coming out. I saw a few new resin kits that I have to have. Of course, I could start the ones I already have!
Guest Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Great paints! I have a can I bough in 1993, still good.
