dwc43 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 you sure it wasnt "sun" glasses ? i ran across that movie at wallyworld for 5 bucks so needless to say i bought it i am slowly building a car movie collection i have 4 titles in it so far bleus brothers smokey and the bandit highwaymen vanishing point its not much but it is a start Yeah, it might have been sunglasses. Been a while since I watched it. If you got the dvd version of the BB, it has the deleted scenes added back into the movie. Most followers don't like that version either. You are way behind on your car movie collection my friend. I've got a pretty good collection started. I can pm you a list for some to look for if you like. And I'll promise you, you'll like them all. I don't have the Highwaymen, but I do have both versions of Vanishing Point.

I did not think they ever made a kit of that car. Looks good for a scratch built. I don't think I'm ready to try and tackle that one yet.

dwc43 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 the good guy drives a slightly modified 67 plymouth baracuda with a hemi you like that one go right ahead and email me that list ill put it on my Christmas list Slightly Modified .... LOL!! It's a Hemi in a 3200 lb car, aint that enough .... lol. Yeah, I'd like that one. I got to judge one of those factory race car versions one year at a show. It was the black one that was in most of all of the car mags. I'll look through my collection and send you a good list to get you started. Amazon.com would be a good place to start looking. You can get used ones for cheap and some still new in the wrapper for good prices too. I have a resin '74 dodge Monaco Post us a pic. You sellin them or find someone else that's selling them?
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 I also have Highwaymen. The Barracuda is actually a '68. A rare car with a 426 Hemi package. I built that car, and am currently working on Fargo's '72 Cadillac Eldorado.

I built the Barracuda with the door. I used AMT's '69 Barracuda and converted it to a '68. Very easy to do. For Fargo's Cadillac, I am using an orginal Johan promo '72 Cadillac Eldorado repainted the correct color, I hope.

streetrodnut72 Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 You need to cast that body in resin with the bumpers, space cowboy or at least send it to a resin caster. Very nice car. Would make a nice police car model.

W-409 Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Wow, very good looking Satellite! Big conversion behind and it's very nicely done! Lots of sanding... Good job with it. I'm a fan of 4D cars in this scale, in 1:1 it must be 2 door... Nice paintjob on it, great detailing and of course it looks like Satellite. Home made is home made! Great, I like it very much. Thank you for sharing it!
