Goblin Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Does anybody know if there ever was a kit of the first generation Neon's made? The years were 1995-1999. It could also be a Plymouth, or Chrysler. I've owned two of these cars in real life and love them to death (call me crazy if you want)and plan on buying another one soon and would like to build a model in memory of the last one I had. Thanks guys.
Harry P. Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Don't know about a plastic kit, but Brookfield Collector's Guild made a few diecast versions.

Casey Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 As stated, BCG made plastic promos in both coupe and 4-dr sedan versions: eBay is your best bet, but Gasoline Alley Antiques has the NYG sedan pictured above.
Goblin Posted February 27, 2010 Author Posted February 27, 2010 my wife had a peeon once she had bought it before i met her so dont blame me it was years after we got rid of it before i dared buy another mopar I bought my first one as my first car and didn't think much of it, it had a bunch of electrical gremlins living in it so i picked up another about a year later and built one good one out of two junky ones. Everything automotive I learned I owe to that car, did my head gasket, replaced an engine, rear main seal, complete new brakes, you name it I did it. I've owned quite a few cars since then and none of them were nearly as fun to drive and work(hard to believe that repairs can be fun) on as my Neon's! I loved that car an always will, no matter what anyone says I will always have respect for 1gn Neon's and would like to pay tribute to the The Blur (that was its name ). Anyway back on topic I knew about the Brookfeilds as they were pretty rare in the Neon community, I guess I'll have to just pick up one of these and do some work to it.
Wayne Buck Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 (edited) This guy has resin neon bodies near the bottom of the page: No pics of it though... http://www.freewebs.com/rmrresin/nf125.htm Might as well get a promo one if ya can for that price. Edited February 28, 2010 by NJ-Wayne
