Guest Mustang3.8 Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 It is definately a shade of Brown. Oh yes... ::singing:: Ba Ba Ba. Ba-ba B-rown. Ba Ba Ba. Ba-ba, Ba Ba-row-n. The-car is Brow-ow-own. Ba Ba-row-own.... Sorry, I've been in the WhiskEy tonight. Nice to hear from you, Ryan. I voted brown. And guys, let's not give Nick a hard time. He just wanted to make sure he got the color right. Are you planning on building this car? If so, I know you will do a great job.
Blake Rogers Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Why does anyone else's opinion on the color mean anything? LMAO
Blake Rogers Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 That car is brown. Burgundy is a dark purplish red. i agree we had a dodge caravan that color
wgflatliner Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 This is Ron Burgundy, proudly reporting once again for Channel 4 News. Today's story is one of the more remarkable things ever to happen to San Diago or even the world. But in order to properly retell it, I'm going to need some help from my co-anchor, Miss Veronica Corningstone. You stay classy, Planet Earth.
wgflatliner Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 for what it's worth, i voted for ron burgandy.
Blake Rogers Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 for what it's worth, i voted for ron burgandy.
FORDSVTPARTS Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 so it is burgandy? GM rootbeer is brown though, I'm looking at a color book right now. That looks like a rootbeer brown to me as well, I don't think a GM color book will matter because I don't think it was offered on the '65 Riviera.
Blake Rogers Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) u guys are all wrong its a dark shade of burgundy  Edited March 1, 2010 by moparfan426
Car Crazy 81 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Nick- I'd just looked up the color on the car from Roadhouse. The only burgandy color that was offered on all 1965 Buicks were Burgandy Mist Poly code N. But i can tell you the color on that Buick is brown. Going with the Dupli-Color Cordova Brown Metallic is a perfect match if it doesnt work at least i'd tried to help.
Jon Cole Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) I think it's a whiter shade of pale. Edited March 1, 2010 by Spyder
Harold Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 That car is brown. Burgundy is a dark purplish red. And there's no "a" in "burgundy".
Karmodeler2 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Brown. Like Bacon, cooked crisp. And bread, toasted well done (not black). Eggs are yellow.
Nick Winter Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 the Roadhouse Buick huh? not a terribly exciting movie car to build really. i would think if you don't build it with the sign through the windshield that it would pretty well be dismissed as just an old Buick. the Mercedes was much cooler wasn't Bigfoot used in that movie too? the Starlet in that movie get's my vote for the biggest nose ever, besides maybe Pinnochio. best line in the movie? "the bear fell on me" Dave Actually dave yes bigfoot was in the movie and the one in the movie was built for the movie, but later used as a display truck in front of an orlando resturant.
Blake Rogers Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) Yes, bigfoot was in the movie roadhouse: Along with that steaming pile of Eagle Premier... so that's what burgundy looks like!!!!!!!! Edited March 1, 2010 by moparfan426
Blake Rogers Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 No, that's what Steaming Piles look like. Trust me when I say that the New wore off these within minutes..... well a Buick!! would look good like that
Modelmartin Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Along with that steaming pile of Eagle Premier... You kidding me! That was the finest thing put out by Franco- American Motors!! A re-badged Renault...UUUUGGGGGHHHHH! They also badged one as a Dodge Monaco. It was bad enough when AMC peddled those things but Chrysler kept up the nonsense. No wonder they are bankrupt!!
Nick Winter Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 that Bigfoot truck was sold to Race Rock cafe, not sure if they are still around or not but i remember that place from the 90's. used as a display by the restaurant it supposedly now sits in a park somewhere in Florida. anyone have pictures of it now? if it's been sitting outside in the Florida sun for over 15 years it can't look good. i think there was a Bigfoot truck used in one of the Cannonball Run movie's too. Dave there was Dave. only the second movie though.
