Hi every one i was wondering about these MPC kits u guys keep talking about??? is there any issues with them??? the reason why i ask is because i want to get both the dukes of hazard kit its a yellow car i keep forgetting the car it self as i am not use to that make of Mopar only the older stuff lol and a T top Monte Carlo with a custom chopper and trailer!!! so i was just wondering if anyone has had problems with these kits at all??? i wont mind if there is any problems with them just want to know ahead of time thanks for the help guys

Blake the yellow kit i think, is the just re-issued and improved Daisey's Roadrunner kit. an the Monte is an old kit that's a nice kit too. Go head an get 'em they're both nice kits.biggrin.gifwink.gif

thanks George i knew it was a dodge just name wise as good old dodge put name plates on all kinds of cars lol back then!!! thanks for the info my buddy was telling me MPC is slowly coming back into the hobby??? i hope so Edited by moparfan426

hence me being confused!!!! thanks for clearing that up but to me its the same company

Until about the mid to late 70's it was one company, but there was three separate division of Chrysler. Chrysler,Dodge and Plymouth was treated as if it was 3 separate companies within it's walls. :huh:

oh i know wired eh ? but to me its one company i know might seem odd to most that i would think that but that's me :blink:

I always thought it was strange that they operated like that, but it worked. Even Dodge and Plymouth kept there racing divisions separate till the end in 78. That's why Petty got ticked off, cause Plymouth thought the Daytona was a joke and would not sell and they would not build one for him to race. So Petty jumped ship to Ford cause Dodge would not give him a Daytona cause they had a driver. Plymouth thought Petty could not win in a Ford till he proved them wrong over and over. They had to give in an build the Super Bird to win him back to the fold. Then the Charger was better than the Road Runner and he jumped ship to Dodge in 72.
