mackinac359 Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 What I'm working on (and off) as of late Peterbilt 330-340 straight truck. Not sure what the body will be. The frame is Evergreen and Plastruct channel and strips. I will add bolt detail and finish the crossmembers. This will be a straight-forward box-stock build. I finished this one up the other day.. More pics on my site at Tim'sTrucks.com - on the Bench page Thanks for looking! Tim
Jim B Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I wondered what you were going to do with that 330 hood. Is the 330 the Peterbilt equilivent of the Kenworth T370? what cab are you going to use? I like the colors on your 378. It's really quite nice. I saw on your site you built (or are building) the Lindberg van trailer. How's the fit? Is it accurate?
mackinac359 Posted March 4, 2010 Author Posted March 4, 2010 Jim I built the Lindberg van back in '08 and never finished it. I can't remember any fit problems, it seemed to go together nicely. The 330 will use a modified 377 cab. The 325, 330, 335, 337, 340, 348 are the "baby Pete's" built in Ste.Therese, Quebec along with the Kenworth T370. Same market. Class 5, 6 and 7. Here's a real 340 Tim
Jeff T. Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Oh boy....Lookin' good! Looking forward to seeing the progress on the '330'. I'm telling you...I am in love with that '378'! I love the colors! Thanks for sharing Tim. Jeff
disabled modeler Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 WOW Tim!!! Looks really nice! Very realistic truck!
chuckyr Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Oh, I get it Tim! You used black marker on the lights to simulate the rubber gaskets.
Kostas Parchas Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 As usual, cool 378 Tim!!! The 330 is sweet. I am waiting to see a 386 with the side ferings you made... Kostas.
mackinac359 Posted March 5, 2010 Author Posted March 5, 2010 Yup. I don't know who suggested this a while back, but it sure makes the roof light look better. Especially on a light colored roof. Tim Oh, I get it Tim! You used black marker on the lights to simulate the rubber gaskets.
