Chuck Most
I've added detail to the Scout II kit before, but this time, I decided to go the opposite route and do one as a slammer. I painted the inside of the window unit black, left out about 95% of the kit parts, and only concentrated on reshaping the grille and hood. I should also thank Bob "Zoom Zoom" Downie for the technique I used on the hood and grille for this one! Works great!

whale392
Very nice! All she might be able to use are some surf company stickers in either the back or side windows and she is ready for the beach!

Railfreak78
What is the problem on these that you have to modify the front? I have always wanted to build one so I want to know whats wrong with it.
Harold
Great job, Chuck. I have a question, though- where do you go surfing in Ithaca (except on the web)?
Chuck Most
What is the problem on these that you have to modify the front? I have always wanted to build one so I want to know whats wrong with it. The top edge of the grille and the hood itself are way too curved- it should be flat. And that's just the tip of the icebert- we won't even get into the missing cut lines, hood peak, etc. ... Great job, Chuck. I have a question, though- where do you go surfing in Ithaca (except on the web)? Sewage treatment ponds on the east end of town on a windy day. Hang ten!!!!
