JTRACING Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 (edited) been working on this one gotta have some grease and gunk on the old engines! gunkified the engine bay a little, just wanted it lightly weathered. the interior is flocked I use embossing powder for that. more body work. The window trim on the front and side windows was poorly engraved and would have disappeared under a layer of paint. so I made new ones from some stretched sprue and sanded them to shape. I also sanded off the "chrome trim" around the wheel openings, i never liked the look of that on muscle cars. I'll throw some primer on later and check how its looking and if i need to tweak it. Oh and I re scribed all the panel lines so there nice and deep! stuck some paint on . no clear coat either, I wanted a factory look so I only polished the enamel paint using some scratch X. diymirage Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 looking great except for one thing the engine looks like an engine should look after some years but the carpet looks brand new

JTRACING Posted March 13, 2010 Author Posted March 13, 2010 (edited) painted the dash, I use super light air pressure to get the texture on the flat black paint.and thin wire to make the gauge bezels heres the fan belt, I thinned all the belts using the knife blade. Janne Herajärvi Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Looking good. I like your building style, its pretty similar with my becouse seems like we both do weathering for engine and chassis parts and body is still like new. Its like that car were used 15+ years in streets but it was in good hands and owner keeped it clean from outside and interior
oldscool Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 That's one of the best dashboards I have ever seen. This is a very nice build. oldscool

Dave that engine does have a hole in the bottom for the metal front axle though
