GrandpaMcGurk Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Al, your model is superb. It just plain "looks" right.
old-hermit Posted July 3, 2010 Author Posted July 3, 2010 Ya gotta have someplace to sit your favorite frosty beverage.
old-hermit Posted July 8, 2010 Author Posted July 8, 2010 (edited) My last day of vacation I tried to get a bunch done. To much to list everything so I'll let the pics do the talking. Last 12 uploaded on page 4. http://public.fotki.com/old-hermits-garage/8thscalemodels/29-roadster-pickup/page4.html Edited July 8, 2010 by old-hermit
Chuck Most Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Quit talking to yourself and build one Chuck. I gotta warn ya though, you'll never go back to wee scale. But if I quit talking to myself, I'll be all alone...
old-hermit Posted July 9, 2010 Author Posted July 9, 2010 Sweated (literally) some little stuff today. Got the throttle linkage, fuel line & fuel filter made up ... ... and the starter wired ... To hot for more. I'll get back at it in the AM when it's cooler. .
arick Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Nice build, I like it. Just wondering though, you put so much thought into the interior.......are you going to add clutch/break/loud pedals? Keep it coming Al, great builds.
old-hermit Posted July 10, 2010 Author Posted July 10, 2010 Thanks for the compliments guys. I've been in a slump lately and this build is bringing me out of it. are you going to add clutch/break/loud pedals? I got the pedals done this AM Rick. I had to wait till the body was placed with the floor to get the right height. Cameras sure do bring out all the boo boo's. Looks like I need to do some touching up on the dash and get some better glasses.
Smart-Resins Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Looking absolutly terrific Al! One of your best ones so far I think! Im loving it!

GrandpaMcGurk Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Excellent model Al, it really captures that old school hot rod image. As usual, your turn around time is in a league that many of us only wish we could keep up with. Another feather in your cap, well done!
Junkman Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Absolutly terrific! I second that. Although the style is not to my taste, this is modelling at it's finest!
horsepower Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Ya gotta have someplace to sit your favorite frosty beverage. there are a few law enforcement types watching the board, so ya' might want to switch those cans right quick 'fer they catch ya' consuming that hydraulic hamburger.
