That would be one cool grandma! :D

That was how a lot of these cars were delivered. You also had the choice of the 351M, 400M and 460.

I don't know that dosen't sound like what my grandma's owned back in the day, granny winter had a '70 newport custom with a 440, and granny gardiner had a '70 dart 340 swinger.

Kevin - Have you got a link to the LTD online, as I can't find it in Missing Links website. Thanks.

When are you starting the build? Do you have any pictures of the whole kit,as to what comes in it? I'm curious to see, and am interested in ordering one!

Guys, if anyone wants to order one of these, go to Missing Link's website, and contact Kevin Lutz.

I just deleted about half the posts in this thread, they all had one thing in common: they had nothing to do with the subject at hand.

Keep your personal arguments and "trades gone bad" nonsense to yourselves. Work it out off the forum, either via email or PMs.

That's fine Harry. The points been made!

But it really amazes me, well never mind it's been said before by "long time" members here.

It does not need a donor kit. It comes with a chassis, interior, glass, chrome.

Ok, guys. I sent the M/O for the LTD. I should have the kit in a week or so. Zukiholic has also sent me some parts from the Revell Caprice taxi kit, and Dukefan has made the decals for it. Thanks, guys.

Word of advice---wait until you have the item in hand before starting a review thread...maybe would have reduced the drama... :)

Gotta agree with you there Rob! When I start a build thread, I usually like to start with pics of the subject at hand in the first post.:)

Kevin from what you posted he really only casted the body, the rest is just a repop of the Hobby Heaven '70 Ford Police car kit, I reconize it, I only finished mine a week ago.

OK, guys,, something really driving me nuts here and I gotta say,, There's no such word as "casted" ,, it's just "cast". The past tense of "cast" is ,, 'cast". As in "This is a very well cast kit" or "he really only cast the body" B)

Phew !! Sorry guys, no offence ment but that just had to come out !! ;):D

My slip up Steve, Cast........................Cast..........................................Cast, I'll get it.

THANK YOU, STEVE MILBERRY!! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank you Nick, It's not just you, of corse, I see it all the time and it just drives me nuts!

No problem, I actually didn't know that.

Ruh-Row! (seriously Steve, I'm just goofing with you)

I to have had it with the -ed form of "cast"

Now on to "Camero, Crager, and, and...."

Mark you should spell Camaro Right, come on brother ( :D )

Posted

While I'm at it "Cragar" too, right?

Perfect Spelling Mark, I think you got the hang of it  now, here's another Few commonly mis-spelled Siera, Esprite, Li'l Red Exspress

Posted

But don't forget "Sierra" is correct for GMC trucks in the US, Fords in Europe, but "Ciera" is the one for Oldsmobiles of a certain age.

Just like the "Cyclone/Syclone" thing. Least GMC batted .500 on normal spelling, right?

Then you have Testors who thinks "Hugger Orange" is "Huggar Orange" and now has half the forum-dwellers going with them...and GM decided for about 10 years in the mid 80s-90s that the word "gauges" should be "gages" for reasons unknown.

I hope you got that I was kidding on the Crager/Camero thing. Those are the two most-butchered internet forum words, and my 2 personal biggest pet-peeves:

I got it Mark, just like you got I was joking with those screwed up spellings.
