Jordan White Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 here's the brochure for it if you want some ideas of what the real car came with.
Guest Johnny Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 My great aunt had one in the Antique Cream with a green vinyl top! Hideous looking thing! Father-in-law had a white wagon with an emerald green vinyl interior that would transfer color to you and your clothes if you sweated or were wet! I had seen several used as police cars! Mostly in small towns!
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Thank you for posting that link, jordan. It will also give me some ideas on how I can build the grill
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 (edited) I think I'm gonna add a poll. Scratch that. I've made my decision. The car will be built as a New York yellow taxi with a 429 engine, steelies with baby moon hubcaps. Edited April 9, 2010 by Mustang3.8
Agent G Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Who's making this kit? I could use about a dozen of these for all the ideas I have. G
george 53 Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Wayne, that kit is cast by Missing Link Resins, out of Deeetroit. Kevin Lutz is the owner and a good freind! His quality is right up there with the BEST! it runs around 70 bucks and is well WORTH IT!!! Try one, you'll be back for more!!!

Guest Mustang3.8 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I can't wait either, Blake. I'm stoked to start this build.
Tony T Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Looks like a nice kit. I just saw a nice medium blue one with a dark blue vinyl top, with the fender skirts on the road today! I thought it was neat to see one on the road, and it was in near perfect shape, too.
Agent G Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 My departmentt drove these as marked cars when I started. This was one of the only cars I ever drove that I had to move the seat up slightly to be comfortable. THEY WERE BIG! They'd run too, that shot of the taxi airborn is just about what it would look like going over the old streetcar tracks. G
Blake Rogers Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 so Kevin were did you get this kit again any more pics of it i want one now thanks lol
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Blake, the kit is by Missing Link resins. I'll try and get more pictures of it for you.
Junkman Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Any chance of seeing the kit and/or buildup eventually?

Harry P. Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I just deleted about half the posts in this thread, they all had one thing in common: they had nothing to do with the subject at hand. Keep your personal arguments and "trades gone bad" nonsense to yourselves. Work it out off the forum, either via email or PMs.

Harold Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 How about a grandma's car? Maybe burgundy with a white top with a red interior. For motive power, you could toss in a 302 with the C-6 from either the AMT '66 Fairlane or '67 Comet.
