Monty Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 I've got a 1/25 kit that came with a stone stock big block Chevy (no optional engine parts) and I'd like to find some resin parts to make it look more "streetable". At minimum, I'd like to find something like Edelbrock's Elite series valve covers and air cleaner. Other valve covers & open element air cleaners(M/T, Moroso etc) also acceptable. As a 2nd option, is there a way to replicate the Accurate Miniatures (1/24) induction setup in 1/25 scale? Any links to vendors would be greaty appreciated.
george 53 Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Actualy Monte, why don't ya just use that intake system in 25th scale? There's really not THAT much of a difference in scale. The only close Intake like that that I can think of came in the ORIGINAL 1965 Pontiac GTO kit. Kinda rare.

Kris Morgan Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I do a B.B.C. intake and, "finned" valve covers in resin, you can see them here My link I also do a set o Moroso valve covers for the big block Chevy. They just have not been added to the site yet. If you are interested in the Moroso ones, you can emil me.
Marc @ MPC Motorsports Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 (edited) Model Car Garage has the Edelbrock Elite setups in resin and PE. Check your e-mail too. Edited April 10, 2010 by Marc @ MPC Motorsports
LDO Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Better yet, find a kit with the engine you like and buy it. Buying a few resin items + shipping will cost as much as a kit, and a kit will give you lots of cool spare parts for your stash.

Lee's right- there are a number of kits that come with a cool Big Block Chevy engine, and that route may be cheaper in the long haul. Alternatively, you could always make up your own parts, or just modify some stuff you already have rattling around in the bottom of your parts box.

Hi There Monty For the Edelbrock stuff head over to Model Car Garage and do a search for "Big Block Chevy" and I think you'll find what you're lookin' for. I'm guessing the induction you're looking for is simular to the one found on the Corvette Grand Sport kits and not the McLaren M8's, right? If so check out the Revell '67 Corvette Stingray Sport Coupe Ed
