That kit has been sorely missed....!
MrObsessive Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 ALLRIGHT!! The 250 GTO's comin' back!!! It's been way too long for that one to be rereleased! I'm curious to see the 599 also! Thanks Larry!
larrygre Posted January 14, 2007 Author Posted January 14, 2007 Bill, I couldn't agree more. The classic GTO kit was way overdue for a reissue. Hopefully, Revell Germany can also pry the California Spider, 250SWB, 275 GTB/4, and 275GTS NART Spider free from Italeri and bring them babies home to papa!!!!!!!!!!

Exotics_Builder Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Any pictures of the Ferrari 250 GTO???? I'm going out shortly, but I can photos of the kit I have downstairs later today. I also have the Protar 250 GTO, MFH 250 GTO and Gunze 250 GTO (curbside). Here's a photo of part of my Ferrari stash: Let me know. Gerry
MonoPed Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Any pictures of the Ferrari 250 GTO???? Here's one I built a few years back.
Len Woodruff Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Here's one I built a few years back. Brian is this the one Revell is going to release?
MrObsessive Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Brian is this the one Revell is going to release? Yeah Len, that's the one! I've been wantin' another one for years but don't feel like payin' eBay prices (read expensive!)............here's the one I built about 10 years ago.......
lordairgtar Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 OK, I gotta ask, are those wheels from the kit or are they aftermarket? Where can I get them? On either Fowler's or Geary's car.
MrObsessive Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 OK, I gotta ask, are those wheels from the kit or are they aftermarket? Where can I get them? On either Fowler's or Geary's car. Greg, my wheels were handlaced wires from CMA (Creative Miniature Associates). Unfortunately, they're no longer available..............I originally built this model back in 1996-97. Detail Master makes some excellent Borrani wires as shown here on my Italeri 250 SWB........... Wheels could use a little cleaning..............but the model is 9 years old now!
MonoPed Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 OK, I gotta ask, are those wheels from the kit or are they aftermarket? Where can I get them? On either Fowler's or Geary's car. Those wheels are two piece, plus the knock-off, and are right from the kit. I used different tires because the kit's "Dunlops" are a bit on the chunky side. When I first built the car, I used a set of Revell Goodyear big n littles, but just before these pics were taken, I swapped those for a set of tires from the recent Hasegawa Lamborghini Miura (which will be shod with the Goodyears). At any rate, it's nice to see this kit again, and it would be sweet to see all of Italeri's front engined Ferrari kits again, especially the 250 SWB!!
