fiftyskid Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I am new at this hobby and am looking for information that will help my with my 59 Chevy HT. Thanks
Jordan White Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I would suggest searching "Building and Detailing" on Amazon.com. There are several books there which were written by members of this board. I myself have "Building and Detailing Scale Model Trucks".
mnwildpunk Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 I know testor used to make a pretty good detailing book
W-409 Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 (edited) I have Pat Covert's "Building And Detailing Scale Model Cars". That is really great book and gives lots of good ideas for building, painting and so on. There are lots of stuff from the basics, for example choosing right tool for different jobs, all the way through to detailing, and polishing etc. That book helps alot. Well, I haven't read it to the end yet, but I'm pretty far, and I can say that it is a great book. And even I, 14 year old Finnish guy, can understand, what the book says... ...And here is the cover of that book. Edited July 5, 2011 by W-409
MrObsessive Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Michael welcome to the forum! Barring you can't find what your looking for in a book, why not ask away here on the board if you run into a snag? There's a wealth of knowledge as close as your keyboard.............while all of us don't know everything, it sure wouldn't hurt to ask!
