I bought some rubbing alcohol

I was able to get to walmart and get some 91% rubbing alcohol. I need to know how long I should soak my model in it before the primer will come off. Also, should i submerse it, or just float it?

It will not float.

Fully submerge the model, but check on it every few hours to see if the paint is coming off or not. I've found some paints come off easier, and some have to be scrubbed off when using 91% isopropyl alcohol.

I'd use caution with 91% alcohol. I've heard reports from a few people that it can soften the molded-in details on some plastics. Test it first on your kit.
