Several years back when I was married, my EX's nephew decided that after I was done building a P51 mustang, he decided that he wanted to know if it could actually fly. Did I mention this was my EX's nephew. Oh how mad I was.
+1 on the Elmer's white glue. It dries clear and you can clean off excess easily. It's also fun to pickoff your fingers . The kid in me shines through.
I've looked everywhere and have not been able to find appropriate humidity levels for painting and priming a model. I know a ton of sanding and body prep needs done before anything is sprayed but I haven't found anything to do with appropriate levels. I live in central Oregon and have been having between 40-60% during the day. I only use rattle cans for both. Would this work if there is no wind? Any and all help is appreciated.
I had builders block for over a year, so much so that I didn't even log in here!! Then I made it a point to start coming back and going to my local club show offs. It definitely helped me. You'll get it back. Good luck!!
I'm looking for something REALLY specific. I'm doing a build of a 90 mustang CHP car but want to copy the Deschutes County Oregon cars. I've tried google images and general searches and am out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm looking to do the '90 mustang as a county sheriffs car rather than a chp car. Does anyone do custom decals? I looked at slixx website but could figure anything out. Thanks for any help.
I haven't had got any pictures yet because my work bench is in a state of...non accessible. As soon as I get pics though I will post them. I've never posted to the 'work bench' thread before.
Thanks for the help guys. I have a question though. I am wanting to do this as a cop car but not as CHP, but my local sheriffs office because my father in law was a lieutenant there before he retired. How would I go about getting custom decals? Does anyone actually do that?
That looks good so far. It's funny I'm doing the same car for the same reason. Something to get back into it. I'm doing the pd version though. Looks great!
I went to my LHS for our monthly show/hangout and while I was there I bought the 1990 Mustang LX kit. I was checking it out when I got home and started it get REALLY excited. It's been a while. Hopefully this will come out ok!
