Swany Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 This was the D1 Grand Prix kit by Aoshima. I love the Silvia, but wasnt a fan of the HKS drift version but still wanted an agressive street car. I used Volk TE-37 wheels from a Skyline kit, lowered and widened the stance a bit, and shortened the height of the spoiler. The paint is actually a candy orange, but looks red in the photos. I started the build this morning, and enjoyed a nice relaxing day of modeling and watching tv. Hope you like it!
Swany Posted May 1, 2010 Author Posted May 1, 2010 You started it THIS morning? Great looking Silvia. Yeah around 10 or so. Thanks!
Swany Posted May 1, 2010 Author Posted May 1, 2010 Haha i think the only reason it finished so fast is because i get so impatient waiting for paint to dry.
Nick F40 Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Your builds I always appreciate I need to finish mine.....
Swany Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 Your builds I always appreciate I need to finish mine..... Thanks! Do it, i had a blast building it even though it was kind of a "speed build". If you've seen my other builds, you know i stick to more modern cars, but yesterday i bought a 60 Bonneville 'vert Trumpeter kit. I figured i'd jump into the world of frames and engines. Right now i'm putting the motor together and it's going along well... but i'm straying from the stock colors all around, and going with a color scheme i'd use if i restored one.
