Joseph Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Hello Group, I'm a new member and have already enjoyed the friendly and knowledgeable help and advice from some of the veteran members here. Thanks guys. I've been building airplane kits for the past several years, but now I have the car bug back. I thought I'd put up some pics of kit I built for your enjoyment. I hope to soon be posting more photos of a project I will be starting soon(look for it "On the Workbench"). 1/24 Tamiya Ford Escort Rally Car: Cheers! Joseph
Speedster Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 WOW! What a great job. I love the look of these cars. Great job on the weathering and super detailing. Can't wait to see more.
droogie Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Outstanding! The weathering and attention to detail are excellent. Do you think the 1:1 car had enough lights ?
Joseph Posted May 2, 2010 Author Posted May 2, 2010 Here are a few more photos of the kit: Cheers! Joseph
jedimastergary Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Looks like a nice build good detail on the interior
Scalper Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Great job . look like it just finished the first stage with all body panels intact. very nice.
RodneyBad Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Great looking Escort. Great details thru out. Excellent work Welcome aboard Matie.
Kombi Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Really awesome job there man. That dashboard alone must have taken you a lot of time. I see now whenever I get around to building mine that the night-stage lamps are a must!
Rat Fink Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 I can see your time spent detailing cockpits really shows in the interior. I noticed the fluid resivour on the e-brake even looks like it has fluid in it...nice touch. Oh and the dirt overspray is really good too. Thanks for sharing.
Foxer Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 The lights on these cars always cracks me up ... but that's just function before form. This is a fantastic build.. the attention to detail is spectacular! The weathering is so subtle that it looks right!
sjordan2 Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Spectacular. That's about as good as it gets, and there's always something to learn and strive for when aircraft modelers turn their attention to cars.
Nick F40 Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Yes, very well done, especially with the weathering, very much detailed how it should. From the biggest fan of the REAL motorsport, rally on this forum!
Joseph Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 WOW! Thanks for all the nice complements! Cheers! Joseph
