crazyjim Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Here's some pics of my build painted with HOK candy pearl root beer. Pegasus Tri-Blade wheels. Behind the rear tube grille is a full width taillight.
Nick Winter Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 I love that color Jim, it's very classy, infact I think I have a GM color similar around here.......................................maybe a '79 Camaro Berlinetta
GrandpaMcGurk Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 (edited) Rear tag caught my eye, Jim.............101st Airborne here. Edited May 3, 2010 by GrandpaMcGurk
crazyjim Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 Hey Don - I painted some plates like that and have used them on my last few builds and will put one on every kit from now on. I need to print some on the color printer with photo paper. Marine Corps here - 1st Battalion/13th Marines. Northern Artillery Contonement (about 10 miles west of DaNang), 1969-70. Welcome Home, Brother.
crazyjim Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 The HOK root beer is much different from Testor's 1 coat root beer. The chassis is done with the Testor's stuff. Thanks for the reply beefheart22.

Peter Lombardo Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 It makes me thirsty!! Very well done, I like it. The exterior color looks great with the interior color and the license plate looks neat on it too. Very nice.

crazyjim Posted May 4, 2010 Author Posted May 4, 2010 Thank you for the postive replies. Fellow Vietnam Veterans - WELCOME HOME! Don't know if any of you are involved with the Veterans community, but if not, you should be. There's new info coming out that could relate to your service in Vietnam - prostate cancer, heart disease, Parkinson's - that are presumptive diseases.
Duntov Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Great build.....thanks for displaying the ribbon........ Regards Bill (Duntov) US Navy "Linebacker" 69 - 75 NGFS
Qwit Pushin Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 JIm, nice build on the Pontiac. Also to Jim and the rest of you here who served our Country, a hearty thanks. I'll be thinking of you guys and all the others who DIDN'T make it home. Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend, gentleman – You deserve it!
crazyjim Posted May 28, 2010 Author Posted May 28, 2010 You're welcome Qwit Pushin. Back problems prevented me from attending Rolling Thunder XXII demonstration ride this weekend in Washington, DC. No where else can you get over 600,000 bikes together in one place at one time and ride for POW/MIA awareness and Veterans issues. Hopefully I'll be able to make next year. So I'll be headed over to a local cemetery on Monday for Memorial Day ceremonies at 10:00am.
