RodBurNeR Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 It came today, well yesterday actually....I took it to work with me. I enjoyed Bill Coulter's article and Brad's art! I liked a couple models from NNL West also. Steve Travis' '29 Ford looks great!
Guest Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Still waiting on mine. Got the JUNE issue of SA Saturday, but no APRIL MCM yet.
crazyjim Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 What's on the cover of #149? How come the website pic hasn't been updated in 5 or 6 months?
elan Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I got my June SA also. Pretty good issue. I don't do Golden Bell press for the above reasons, but I like the forum
Guest Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 (edited) Better watch it Jody, feathers get ruffled when you say SA has a good issue out, lol. Edited May 5, 2010 by midnightprowler
crazyjim Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I checked. The latest I have is #148. Sure is nice to be notified that a new issue is available. I guess this calls for a ride to the LHS tomorrow.
Tom Kren Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 got mine yesterday looks like another good issue gregg! Now have to renew my sub!
mikemodeler Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 I got mine last Friday or Saturday and I gotta admit, it has kept me reading it over and over! There is a ton of info that is holding my interest. Of course I did find the April Fool jokes funny but there were several articles that I think tell more about our hobby and the folks in it that make the magazine a keeper. I was disappointed that the magazine was late but I think Gregg & Company made up for it with all that I found in it.
Danno Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 What's on the cover of #149? Crazyjim, The cover has the twin Revell Cutlasses built by Len Carsner and Bill Coulter with a banner "Dr. Oldsmobile Lives Again!" headline, and Alex Kustov's black Porsche. It's a very good issue!
camaroman Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 (edited) Lateness IS an issue but it is kinda like if you had a date with say Raquel Welch or Sophia Loren and they were late. They might be late but it was forgotten as soon as they showed and you were having fun. ps I Know I am showing my age with my date choices, but I don't think any of us old guys would turn down a date with them, even at their current age and having to bring the wife along! I would have to be fascinating to have dinner with them. Edited May 13, 2010 by camaroman

old-hermit Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 I Know I am showing my age with my date choices, but I don't think any of us old guys would turn down a date with them, even at their current age Have you SEEN them lately ??????????? Both are in their 60's !!!!!! I sure wouldn't turn down anything from them !!!!!!!!
camaroman Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Al,that is exactly my point... when something is great it's worth the wait... BTW are you keeping John straight over at Carolina Hobby?
Harry P. Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Believe it or not, Raquel Welch will be 70 in September!
old-hermit Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 BTW are you keeping John straight over at Carolina Hobby? Sad news, he's closing the doors permanently in Sept. He says just not enough business to keep it going. He turns 65 and will be getting his SSI so he and his better half want to do some traveling. I'm sure gonna miss him and the store. PS, Harry, I always did like older women !!!! .
